Filming

A week ago, the company had a film crew come in to shoot for a demo video. I became an “extra” for two days as I guess they didn’t have enough people from the army to show off company’s systems.

The film crew placed a bunch of lights around the office and they placed a green light behind my desk. Just for fun, I stood behind the light and was curious what I looked like with a green light shining on me so I had someone take a photo of me.

Laundry

So a funny thing (at least to me) happened in the laundry room today. I was down there to pick up my load from the dryer and there was a woman in the room loading the dryer beside mine. Now, I was fully aware that the woman was loading her laundry into a machine with a broken coin slot… why I didn’t say anything… I don’t know why but I knew she’d have to do something about it so I guess I wanted some amusement.

Anyway… she loaded her laundry before I finished unloading mine and as she struggled to insert her coin into the slot, I had to contain my laughter and sped up my unloading process so I could quickly get out of there before I made a fool of myself. However, as I was leaving, she asked me if I knew how to work the slot and I just laughed in front of her face while saying something like, “yeah, it doesn’t work,” and stormed out of there.

Beyond Belief

I met a WW2 veteran who copied a key for me over Memorial Day weekend and he handed me a legal-sized piece of paper containing his story. So that we don’t lose his story, I’ve decided to copy his story verbatim here:
