Filming

A week ago, the company had a film crew come in to shoot for a demo video. I became an “extra” for two days as I guess they didn’t have enough people from the army to show off company’s systems.

The film crew placed a bunch of lights around the office and they placed a green light behind my desk. Just for fun, I stood behind the light and was curious what I looked like with a green light shining on me so I had someone take a photo of me.

The crew also had a boom-mic whose cover was so soft and felt so good in my hands. As I was dressed for my “part” and had the boom-mic cradled in my arms. I got someone to take a photo of that also.

Being part of the production made me appreciate film maker’s jobs more since I had a glimpse of what it’s like to be in-production. Just to shoot a scene that’s probably at most ten minutes of footage takes two days… amazing. Very repetitive at times as well and quite tiring as day became night.

Here is the demo video:

I want to find an out-take reel because I know I made humourous mistakes as my colleagues informed me.
